What I’m Reading (and Other Matters Including Vivien Jackson)
My plans for August are to get some reading done. I’m lagging behind and I’m not certain why. Is it that longer summer days keep me outside longer so that I don’t cozy up to a book? I have been traveling, but usually planes have been reading time. Instead, the sound of a plane engine seems to lull me asleep.
It is time for me to stop being lazy. I just returned from a writer’s conference where I picked up just a few books. Here is a pic of my August reading–and, yes, there are some children’s books in there. I can’t wait to share them with my grandson. THE HATE YOU GIVE should make its way to a granddaughter. Sharing books is the best way to connect with grandkids, don’t you agree?
Plus, I finally cleaned out and reorganized my office. Time to stop calling it the “hamster cage.” My bookshelves are still overstuffed but I’m managing to create some order.
Oh, and please pay attention to a new-to-me author Vivien Jackson. I am not a sci-fi fan but her sci-fi romance captured my imagination. So much so, I’m giving away a copy of the first book
of her trilogy this August. Check out WANTED AND WIRED. Enter the August contest and perhaps you will win a free copy. She may make a sci-fi fan out of me.
